Show Boudoir is actor-director Sara Melleri’s and poet-performer Elsa Tölli’s club, which happens occasionally at Viirus after performances. Show Boudoir is a theme club and a cocktail bar, where spontaneous show numbers, solos and performances happen accompanied by alternating dj-sets.
The club will take place for the first time after Swedish Asshole-performance on Friday March 6th, and it turns into Swedish pop music’s fantastic backstage and a live installation. At the club the audience can continue their cultural discussion and enjoy spontaneous show-numbers that are inspired by the evening’s performance. The fantastic DJ of the night is Taika Mannila!
Show Boudoir was originally conceived in the diva-like subconscious of Melleris and Töllis. The club draws its inspiration from secretly exchanged tokens of appreciation, love letters, ashtrays and the artist’s own space before and after the performance. Show Boudoir is inspired by what it sees, invites guest artists to participate and conveys the spirit of the performances on its own dance floor. Please don’t throw roses at us!
Melleri and Tölli have invited their dear artist colleague Rosanna Kemppi to perform at the clubs in March. They have been creating art together since 2005 and have a shared performance practice that will be brought to life in the first Show Boudoir clubs.
Melleri and Tölli will host Show Boudoir in autumn 2026!

About the creators:
Sara Melleri lives in Helsinki and works as an actress, director, screenwriter, teacher and hostess with the mostess. Sara studied acting at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki between 2005 and 2011 and has since been active in theatre, television and film productions. In her work, she plays with intimacy and exaggeration. Together with her teams, she transforms personal stories into full-blooded fantasies, luxury and dirt, horror and sweetness. Fun fact: Sara dated a Swedish-speaking Finn person for 10 years without learning to speak Swedish properly.
Elsa Tölli is a poet and performing artist. She has published two acclaimed poetry collections, created works for various art festivals, and was one of the artists who exhibited at the Nuoret 2023 exhibition. Her heart beats for risky sensitivity, Chateau Marmont’s alter egos, and the boundaries of good taste. At the core of Tölli’s work is an embrace of life and a constant shift between despair and joy.
Rosanna Kemppi, like many others, is a freelance actress. Rosanna comes from Helsinki and has dreamed of belonging to the Finnish-Swedish magic circle since she was three years old. In this club, Rosanna will realise her dream of being a Swedish-speaking Finn.
Taika Mannila is many things, but above all she is a Swerdish-speaking Finn and a DJ.
One of Taika’s greatest achievements was an interview in the newspaper HBL with the headline: ‘Being a Swedish-speaking Finn is my biggest art project’. Taika has perhaps copied everything she can from the Swedes.
