Doomsday Club with the Loving Memory of Hans Rosling
TERRIBLE SCENARIOS AND TERRIFYING TRUTHS ABOUT WW3 AND THE END OF THE WORLD WITH EOIN MCNAMARA
Coming up is a Doomsday Club with Eoin McNamara, research fellow at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA). McNamara will visit us for a relaxing after work discussion on Tuesday, November 7th starting at 19.00 to tell us about the failures of the multipolar world order, the end of liberal democracy, the end of history and the third world war that is looming behind the next corner!
Or is the situation as bad as we think it is?
Eoin Micheál McNamara has previously taught extensively in International Relations at the University of Tartu in Estonia between 2013 and 2020. His main research interests include transatlantic relations, US grand strategy, NATO, transformation of war, and security in northern and eastern Europe.
Doomsday Club at theatre Viirus is kind of a talk show where the loving memory of Hans Rosling invites experts to discuss the most pressing problems facing humanity today. We try to sort out the happiness from the hyperbole, the possibilities from the pathological, the truth from the terrifying.
The interview are performed in broken Swenglish with immature jokes in between questions.
The event is free, but the bar is of course open (should you need a glass or two to digest the topics discussed).
If you have not had enough of good vibes and doomsday scenarios; buy a ticket to War and Piss with the Loving Memory of Hans Rosling, the show that has toured, inspired and shocked the world since 2021!
Piss and love everybody!
Who was Hans Rosling?
Hans Rosling is the educator that used statistics to show the world as a better place than ever before in the book Factfulness and his lively and pedagogical lectures that made him world famous.
In these times of despair it is the task of Oskar Pöysti to take the form of the living memory of Hans Rosling, to keep the legacy alive with a fresh mix of stand-up comedy, facts and humor.
