Changes to tram routes serving Jätkäsaari from 7 April – 10 may 2026

There will be changes to tram routes serving Jätkäsaari from Tuesday, 7 April. Trams will be rerouted to run via Ruoholahti and the Crusellinsilta bridge. Tram 9 will run to Tahitinkatu, tram 9t to the West Harbour and Tyynenmerenkatu. There will be no tram services on Välimerenkatu, bus 22 will provide replacement service. Tram 7 will run to Kolmikulma instead of Jätkäsaari.

  • Tram 7 will not serve Jätkäsaari. Instead, it will terminate at Kolmikulma. The tram will run as usual between Meilahti Hospital and Central Railway Station.
  • Tram 9 will be rerouted to run from Kamppi via Ruoholahti to Jätkäsaari, terminating at the “Tahitinkatu” stop. The tram will not serve the West Terminal. Night tram 9N will follow the same route.
  • Tram 9T will start running between Market Square and West Harbour. The tram will run via Central Railway Station, Kamppi and Ruohohahti. It will run every day of the week, with peak-time services every 7–8 minutes. The journey time from Central Railway Station to West Terminal will be about 15 minutes.
  • Trams 1T and 8T, which usually run to West Harbour on weekends, will not operate. Trams 1 and 8 will run as usual on weekends.
  • There will be minor changes to the timetables for tram routes 3, 8 and 13.
  • Bus 22 will be temporarily rerouted to run via Välimerenkatu.
