Artist talk about Puija with its’ artists
Suvi Kemppainen, the director and performer of the performance Puija, is an internationally acclaimed choreographer known for their ability to draw the power of the imagination into physical work. But, what is the worth of physical work in the highly materialistic world of today? What kind of power does one’s imagination hold? What could the imagination bring out from your subconscious to the body?
Suvi Kemppainen and sound designer Kajo Nummi will discuss the themes and process of the performance Puija on Saturday the 23rd of May, straight after the performance at approximately 7.35pm. Also featured are thoughts from the dramaturg Silja Tuovinen.
The discussion will be held in Finnish and/or English, depending on the audience’s wishes. The discussion will be moderated by Viirus’ theatre pedagogue Marja Vuori. The discussion has free entry, and one can participate even without seeing the performance on the evening in question. The discussion lasts approximately for one hour.
